Before discovering massage, Denise operated an organic landscape business and owned an organic herb business.  She believes prevention with a balanced lifestyle and good nutrition creates a good foundation for health, and she emphasizes the importance of exercise and stress management to her clients.

Denise earned an associate’s degree in Advanced Massage from Florida College of Natural Medicine and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  While Denise is proficient in Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue work, and sports massage, her favorite modalities include myofascial release and Reiki.

Chris, a massage therapist for over seven years, believes the body is the only machine that is capable of healing or fixing itself. "I like to think that my role a massage therapist is that of your body's guide or facilitator, taking your body to a place where it can heal itself." Chris is experienced in a wide variety of massage modalities, and his favorites include myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and reflexology.

Chris hails from Racine, Wisconsin and has traveled throughout the west and northwest of the United States as well as New York and Maine. He has ventured as far as Canada, Jamaica, and Costa Rica and dreams of vacationing to Peru for an extended stay.

In addition to being a nationally certified massage therapist and certified neuromuscular therapist, Adrian has a bachelors’ degree in psychology from Kent University.  He hails from Ohio and has traveled throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. He dreams of traveling to Greece and Italy in the near future.

Adrian’s healing philosophy is that we heal through God. He says, “Therapists and doctors are tools to help us heal.” Adrian’s favorite massage modalities include Neuromuscular Therapy, sports massage, deep tissue, stretching, and strain-counterstrain.

A self-titled “military brat”, Alliena was born in Barcelona, Spain and has lived in Taiwan, Greece, California, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois and finally Florida. In her other life (before she found massage therapy), Alliena was among many things; a radioman (satellite communication for the Navy) and drove a tractor (farming)!

She attended the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy and has been a practicing massage therapist for over 7 years. Alliena believes the mind and body work together and customizes her massages to each client, giving each client “whatever your body tells me it needs”.

Her favorite modalities include Swedish, sports, and deep tissue massage. Alliena is always seeking to learn new modalities and looking forward to learning hot stone and bamboo massage in the near future.

Before she found massage, Jan was a drug and alcohol counselor for teens and an indoor rock climbing instructor in Texas. She relocated to Colorado in order to attend Boulder College of Massage Therapy and has lived in Florida for the last 2 ½ years.

Jan believes the Path of Enlightenment is through the discovery of self. “I believe in the Eastern philosophy of the facilitation of allowing the body to heal naturally and the traditional theory comprised of healing the mind, body, and spirit as a whole."

A massage therapist for over three years, Jan is licensed to practice massage in both Florida and Colorado. Her favorite modalities include Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Sports massage, and Reflexology. Jan is also working towards completing certification in the Upledger method of CranioSacral technique.

Zolla graduated in 1999 from the Nationally Accredited Humanities School of Massage in Pinellas Park, Florida and, she spent the next 2 years providing mobile in-home therapy.  Then she established and maintained an office for 6 years in Clearwater, Florida.

Zolla is certified in a wide gamut of treatment modalities; Pre & Post/Natal, Hot Stone, Carpal Tunnel Assessment & Treatment, and Sports Massage. She also Intern-Studied Structural Integration Therapy and became an Infant Massage Instructor for Parents & Caregivers.  

Until recently, Zolla had visited more places in Western Europe than America.  However, in the summer of 2010 she volunteered to support an athlete (www.athletes4heart.com) on a National Bike Across America (Bike4CHF) to benefit The Children’s Heart Foundation.  The tour was from California to NYC; 43 days, 15 states, 39 cities and over 3,700 miles at a pace of 100 miles per day for the cyclist.  The therapy that Zolla provided helped the athlete complete the tour, injury free and successfully land a National TV spot on the TODAY show! 

Additionally, she now holds the Treasurer position on the Florida Board of Directors with The Children’s Heart Foundation. She continues to volunteer helping promote events and fundraising.  Also, Zolla enjoys being active and as a runner has completed 2 half-marathons, and several 5k & 10k distance competitions.  She is an amateur singer/song writer, enjoys learning the art of strumming a guitar and is an active Toastmaster member.

Before becoming finding massage therapy 5 years ago, Jennifer explored many careers including; a textile designer for Cannon Mills in New York City, aerobics instructor, strength trainer & nutrition consultant, Copy jewelry store owner, bridal consultant, Healthful Café owner, and spa owner. She has lived all over the world and traveled extensively.

Jennifer’s favorite modalities are Swe-Thai and a combination of Swedish and deep tissue she refers to as a “De-stressor.” When asked about her philosophy on healing Jennifer replied, “Healing unfolds within all of us.  It starts with a thought.  The mind does not differentiate between a thought and an action.  All we have to do is be grateful each day for our health and wellness.  Believing it sets off a chemical reaction in the brain which sets the physical body on the path to healing itself.  We all have the ability to do this.”

A practicing musician of 13 years, Eric entered the massage field because he “enjoys helping and caring for people.” “Thanks to massage therapy, I am able to relieve those with stress, pain, injury and other symptoms. Being able to heal others is a great joy.” Eric attended the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio and subsequently had additional training at Sarasota School of Massage.

A licensed therapist for over 3 years, Eric’s favorite modalities include neuromuscular technique and Swedish massage. He particularly enjoys working on the neck, head and shoulders to provide relief to injury, stress and chronic discomfort.

All of the therapists at elements therapeutic massage University Park receive on-going training, both in-house and off-site.  We are justifiably proud of the quality of massage that each client receives, and can assert with complete confidence that no matter which therapist you see, your needs will be met.
