Aurora first opened its doors in March of 1998. We expanded to a brand new location in Tewksbury in 2007. We are very pleased with our beautiful new space, as it is a true reflection of our creative talents. Owner, Kellie Sullivan Hajjar has enjoyed working as a hair designer for over 24 years. Kellie takes pride in her work and the talents of her well-trained staff. The entire Aurora team takes advantage of continuing education classes, and shows both locally and nationally.
Aurora's team is highly educated in color and cutting. We offer the highest quality products along with knowledge. The team continues to educate in the newest and latest fashions including foils, highlights, lowlights, baliage, grey coverage, color correction, and glossing. While still a pre-vet/biology major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2002, Dr. King began seeing a chiropractor for lower back pain. She was so impressed by how the chiropractor was able to diagnose and treat her problem with little more than his hands that she decided to change her career path from veterinary medicine to chiropractic. After graduating from WPI in 2003 with high honors, she enrolled at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. In 2008 she graduated as valedictorian of her class. She returned to Massachusetts after graduation and honed her skills as an associate chiropractor at Fairway Chiropractic Clinic in Tewksbury for a year and a half before deciding to open her own practice.
Dr. King takes an integrative approach to treating her patients. In addition to the usual chiropractic adjustment, most patients receive some type of muscle work (massage, stretching, etc.), rehabilitative exercises, and lifestyle modifications. She also commonly works in conjunction with other doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and acupuncturists to get the best results for her patients. Some of Dr. King’s specialties include prenatal and postpartum chiropractic care, and the Graston Technique®.
Dr. King lives in her hometown of Tewksbury with her husband, Jeff, and their two mixed-breed dogs, Lola and Bodhi. In June 2010, they welcomed their son Collin into the world. When she is not busy seeing patients, Dr. King spends most of her time being a new mom. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, photography, and hiking with her dogs.
