Philosophy on Healing: Intent should be for the greatest good of the client without doing any harm. Healing comes through physical, spiritual and emotional contact

Kelly  |  Therapist

Places Traveled: Germany, London, Spain, Mexico, Switzerland
My Dream Vacation:  Traveling in Australia
Favorite Massage Modalities: Myofascial, Craniosacral, Reiki, Swedish and Deep Tissue
Philosophy on Healing:  Our bodies hold cellular memory, bodywork frees up space & energy to live more fully. Unwinding can occur at anytime during bodywork.
In My Other Life (before I found massage therapy) I was… a counselor.

Marlene  |  Therapist

Education: Lakeside School of Massage Therapy, Madison, WI
Places Lived: Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Minnesota, England and Waunakee, WI
Places Traveled: Many U.S. states, Mexico, England, Hawaii and the Virgin Islands.
My Dream Vacation: Egypt and Israel
Favorite Massage Modalities: My favorite modality is shiatsu.  I like to incorporate some shiatsu in with my Swedish massage.  I also enjoy working on the neck.
Philosophy on Healing: Massage is a part of healthy living.  It's as important as exercise and watching your diet.  Healing begins when you take the time to take care of yourself.
In my other Life (Before I found Massage Therapy) I was and still am a wife and mom of 2 kids, 2 cats and a new puppy.

Lanny  |  Therapist

Places Traveled: All around the U.S. and Peru
My Dream Vacation: A summer long tour of Europe.
Favorite Massage Modalities: Connective Tissue, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point
Philosophy on Healing: A sound mind and sound body are essential for living a profound life.
In my other Life (Before I found Massage Therapy) I was a seminary student.

Isis  |  Therapist

Education: Lakeside School of Massage Therapy, Madison, WI
Places Lived: Wisconsin
Places Traveled: East Coast, West Coast, Canada, Ecuador and Peru.
My Dream Vacation: A cabana on a deserted beach where my daughter and I can play in the ocean every day and eat freshly caught fish every night for dinner.
Favorite Massage Modalities: I like the slow, concentrated strokes of deep swedish and often incorporate trigger point and fascial techniques into my sessions.
Philosophy on Healing: I believe that a large part of healing comes from a place inside us that, if we let it, can say "Hey, it's ok to let that go, it's ok to feel good".  Part of my job as a therapist is to help people find that place within themselves.
In my other Life (Before I found Massage Therapy) I was and still am a mother, an aunt, an avid reader and a barista.

Nikole  |  Therapist

Education: Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Body Work, Depere, WI.  I am currently enrolled at the American Institute of Holistic Theology taking correspondence courses towards my BS in Metaphysics.
Places Lived: All over South East Wisconsin, Arizona and Kentucky – Madison has always been home though!
Places Traveled: Road tripped to 38 of the United States, but I haven’t ventured out of the country yet!
My Dream Vacation: Strolling the rolling hills of Scotland and visiting castles.  Dining at a quaint little pub and hopefully picking up the accent..
Favorite Massage Modalities: Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy and Reiki.
Philosophy on Healing: Pain is only your body’s way of communicating an imbalance.  Bring the body/mind/spirit back into balance and the pain will cease.  All healing comes from within.
In my other Life (Before I found Massage Therapy) I was a waitress for about 10 years. I fell in love with massage at age 8 though and have always been “hands on” and learning how to do massage way before entering school.

Sara  |  Therapist

Education: Bachelors Degree in Art from Northern Illinois University; Therapeutic Massage Certification from William Rainey Harper College

My Dream Vacation: Two weeks (or more) at my family’s mountain home during the Fall season. I would paint the whole time.
Favorite Massage Modalities: Neuromuscular, Myofascial, Swedish, and Reflexology
Philosophy on Healing: The body is a remarkable structure that is designed to bring itself back to harmony. With plenty of self-care (massage, exercise, healthy diet, etc.) the body will heal.
In my other Life (Before I found Massage Therapy) I was (and still am) a lover of art, music, and running.

Tracy  |  Therapist

Education: Lakeside School of Massage Therapy
Places Lived:
Sheboygan/Sheboygan Falls, Menomonic, Madison
Places Traveled:
Arizona, Nevada, Minnesota, South Carolina and Texas
My Dream Vacation:
The UK, specifically Scotland and Ireland with enough time to walk, hike and soak up village life.
Favorite Massage Modalities:
Swedish, Myofascial, Hot Stone and Reflexology
Philosophy on Healing:
My training has shown me what an amazing creation the human body is.  Nurtured properly (healthy diet, consistent exercise, stress-reducing massage), it will thrive and heal on its own.
In my other life (before I found massage therapy) I was
a purchasing agent for about 15 years.  I wanted a more fulfilling career.  One Sunday afternoon, driving back from a business trip, the only thing I could get on the radio was a talk show about the healing power of massage.  Sometimes, the universe just places things in your path.

Places Traveled: I have traveled throughout 30 of the 50 states plus Canada, Mexico and Jamaica.
My Dream Vacation: It would be 4 weeks to explore South East Asian countries of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.  While there I'd like to take a course in Thai Massage, see the ancient temple of Angor Wat and eat my favorite cuisines.
Favorite Massage Modalities: Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Deep Tissue/Deep Swedish Massage.
Philosophy on Healing: I believe that often the body can naturally heal itself and that massage is an important part of achieving total body health and peak physical conditioning.
In my other life (before I found massage therapy) I was: many things... I worked at a brokerage firm in San Francisco, waited tables at a comedy club, co-managed a salon in San Francisco, sold high-end small kitchenwares... but they were all just jobs to me. Performing massage is by far the most fulfilling career I could have chosen.
