Education:  2 years at MPTC (Morraine Park Tech College) for Surgical Technician, 2006, then one year at High Tech Institute for my Massage Therapy diploma

Places Lived:  I have lived in Utah, where I'm originally from, Colorado, and of course Wisconsin

Places Traveled:  I have traveled all over the US, most memorably, Mt. Rushmore and Glacier Falls.  I have been to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and also Las Vegas.

My Dream Vacation:  Would have to go to Italy!

Favorite Massage Modalities:  Swedish with deep tissue, which would involve trigger point therapy.

Philosophy on Healing:  I think healing starts within you, then moves outward.  It starts with you mind and then moves to your body.  If you think positively, you will most likely have a positive outcome.  The mind is a powerful thing.

In My Other Life (before I found massage therapy) I was...I still work a tthe hospital as an technician, and I also work at the MPTC as an instructor.  I love both!

Education:  I am a Lakeside massage graduate from 1989. I have BSN from Creighton University, class of 1983.

Places Lived: I have lived in Milwakee and then had an extended stay in Omaha NE - until I missed Lake Michigan! Since then I've explored Cudahy, Pewaukee and Wauwatosa and am nestled again in Milwaukee.

Favorite Massage Modalities: Giving a therapeutic massage, opening my toolbox and using what's called for...Swedish, membration, lymphatic, myofascial, craniosacral.

Philosophy on Healing: In regards to life, for healing, I find it important to learn from life's lessons, to have forgiveness and gratitude and fashion a "new" life over and over. In regards to massage, I find it important to fell the pleasure, support relaxation, to breathe and be awake. All of this supports a healing environment to offer the wisdom of the body.

In my other life (before I found massage therapy): I was... a coronary care nurse and emergency driver. I'm still learning how to relax!

Education: I attended Urbana University in Ohio and received my certification in downtown Milwaukee at Lakeside School of Therapeutic Massage.

Places Lived: Not very interesting… I lived in Dayton Ohio growing up and going to school, and moved to Milwaukee when my wife started working for General Electric.

Places Traveled: I’ve been all over the U. S., to Mexico while on my honeymoon, visited my wife while she was living in London, and spent a weekend in Paris while there. I also spent a weekend in sunny Canada with friends.

Dream Vacation: It already happened. My honeymoon was it. I recommend an all expenses paid vacation. No worries, just fun.

Favorite Massage Modalities: I think Swedish is the best for relaxation, and nothing beats trigger point release for working out the kinks. I enjoy myofascial release and deep tissue as well.

Philosophy on Healing: I believe that healing begins from within. I believe in a holistic approach, and in the healing powers of massage.

In my other life (before I found massage therapy) I was…a student. I worked as a server and bartender while studying to become a teacher.

In my other life (before elements) I was: a cook, chef, caterer year before. I used to be an inspector of gears that fly planes at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft.

Philosophy on Healing: Everyone needs it in one way or another. It is good for a lot of things, not just if you want relaxation.

In my other life (before I found massage therapy): I was…kind of a jack of all trades. I used to be a vet tech, which I really enjoyed. I also worked for Lakeside as their admissions coordinator. I learned a lot there too. I also did some of your boring jobs and that everyone does as well. My passion with animals and massage made me take animal massage courses, which I also find enjoyable too.

In my other life (before I found massage therapy): I was…employed in Industrial sales and worked with engineers on new medical devices. Physiology has always been my passion and I have kept informed of new developments in both CAM and mainstream medicine.
