Joan Laubacher  |  Massage Therapist

I have always been interested in the body in motion; beginning with a passion for swimming since I was 5 ½ years old and later with an educational focus that included a degree in kinesiology, massage therapy, and body & skin esthetics. While my style can be catered to my client’s preferences, I am primarily trained in deep tissue and sports-specific massage. Our sessions will integrate detailed and focused attention to working out a painful muscle or muscle group while also allowing for the body and mind to relax and restore.

Scott Hoffman  |  Massage Therapist

Scott lived in Taiwan for 10 years traveling, teaching English and learning martial arts.

After his return from Taiwan, Scott graduated from Eastwind School of Holistic Healing in Iowa City, IA. Practicing in conjunction with a chiropractor for over 2 years, Scott has worked with a wide variety of clients, treating conditions ranging from headaches and neck tension to low back, shoulder and hip pain. As a massage therapist he has worked in various environments ranging from a chiropractic clinic to spas to athletic clubs. Scott has studied many techniques and uses a combination best suited for each individual.

Scott is dedicated to personal wellness. His healthy living is reflected in his calm presence and strong hands. His massage style combines gentle specific stretches with direct focused strokes to release areas of tension and dysfunction. Scott also believes in empowering his clients with stretches and self-care tips to ensure their goals will be met.

Laina Solomon  |  Massage Therapist

Laina's background in dance strongly influences her approach to bodywork: One must find one's center in order to move out from it into the world.  In session, Laina follows her intuition and curiosity to meet each client where they are in that moment, and to help them reach their goals of balance, relaxation, integration, and optimal alignment.  Together, client and therapist seek inner quiet to develop outward peace and energy.

Jennie McDaniel  |  Massage Therapist

My passion for people started when I was quite young.  My love for healing started in my mid-twenties (2002).  Empathy, care, compassion, and curiosity are words that I would use to describe how I feel and have always felt toward all people.

I did my training at Olympia in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  I was raised in a small town outside of Kalamazoo and that is where I practiced my passion for healing.  Seven years later I sold my business and ran for the mountains...literally.  I live in Nederland and love the energy the mountains naturally provide.

My favorite modalities for massage are deep tissue paired with energy work.  Together they work famously, releasing tight muscles and giving a sense of balance and a feeling of being more grounded.  I received energy work training in Kalamazoo at Subtle Energies in 2005.  I quickly realized that the training added another dimension to the deep tissue work that I was already doing.  I aspire to teach massage and energy work but to always be a practitioner of both.

Kathleen Harris  |  Massage Therapist

I was born in Tampa, FL, and from there I began my acrobatic, dance and ultimately gymnastic career.  I committed myself to gymnastics until I was 14.  During my training and competing, I never received massage, but I found myself rubbing my teammates shoulders for "good luck" before an event.  I loved doing this as I saw it relaxed their nerves, and gave them some relief from the wear and tear gymnastics can do to the body.  I also discovered that if you found a sore muscle on one side of the body, chances were the same muscle on the other side was sore, too.  This was my first brief discovery and connection to what is now my life's passion.

I graduated from the Center For Massage & Natural Health Massage School near Asheville, NC in 2006, where I was trained in a strong background of Swedish technique.  I use these techniques in my massage to warm the muscles and create relaxation, but cater pressure and specific, focused and present muscle group work to each individual's needs.  While I work a specific muscle group, your breath and your body's ability to release tension guide me to the depth and pressure of your massage.  While I'm "listening" to your body, you'll be receiving relaxing "deep tissue" work.

Daisy Ching  |  Massage Therapist

Born and raised in California, I moved to Colorado a year and a half ago to attend the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. Before that I spent 2 years abroad working for Peace Corps in Ukraine, working as a Youth Development volunteer with kids.  I have always loved the healing arts, including psychology, interpersonal communication, and body work!  I look forward to learning more about healing through massage as I grow in this practice.

Catherine Herrmann  |  Massage Therapist

Living in the Santa Barbara and Aspen area in the past, I consider myself extremely fortunate to be learning life’s lessons while living in such beautiful surroundings.  I attained my massage training at Santa Barbara Bodyworks in California and am a new arrival to the Boulder scene.  Needless to say, I love the energy here at the base of the Flatirons and the fact that there is so much opportunity to grow in so many directions!

To describe my interests (other than always learning more Massage Therapy and more about the human body)…. I would say that I love any activity that has to do with the outdoors – in particular, cross country or downhill skiing, yoga, playing the piano, and the best part of my day is my daily walk with my best friend Emma (my 9 year old Chocolate Lab).  My creed and mantra would be the quote by Mohandas Gandhi: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”.  If all of us lived by this philosophy, there are infinite possibilities we could accomplish on this beautiful home we call earth.

Daniel Orth  |  Massage Therapist

Daniel graduated from Boulder College of Massage School with honors because of his passion for helping people improve their lives.  He has worked with a variety of people with many different conditions including athletes, clients with chronic conditions and those with job-related issues.  In doing so, he has found great success in relieving pain and tension while informing his clients about ways to increase their wellness with simple daily self-care techniques. Daniel understands that it is easier to live a joyful life with a body that feels good and maintains a supportive, healthy posture.  In identifying and helping clients to consciously release the muscular patterns that hold the body in dysfunctional positions, he finds that people can feel increasingly blissful and energized from his supportive care.

Juliann Major  |  Massage Therapist

Juliann received a B.S. in Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University in 2001.  There she worked with various sports teams gaining experience with high and low impact sports, injuries, and prevention.  Following school, she relocated to Arizona and worked alongside physical and occupational therapists at Physiotherapy Associates, Mesa Sport Clinic as a Certified Athletic Trainer.  While there, she returned to school to study therapeutic massage at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.

She has been practicing massage professionally since 2003, working in the Phoenix area and Boise, Idaho as the owner of The Knot, Therapeutic Bodywork.  Her focus encompasses therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, and injury techniques.  Although she has taken a three-year hiatus to study Architecture at Arizona State University, she has recently re-committed herself to massage by becoming nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
