Alicia graduated from the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute in Watertown and Bentley College where she earned a BS in Management.

She is implicitly positive and optimistic and very strong!  She was born and raised in Boston and has travelled all over the eastern seaboard and the Bahamas.  Her dream vacation would be to Jamaica where she would watch the sunset every single evening. 

Her philosphy on healing is simple: If your body is not happy, how can you be happy?

She respects Deep Tissue massage and it is her favorite modality to perform.  She loves helping clients to decrease pain and relax. 

In her other life...she works as a customer service agent and does plus size modelling on the side to help the world realize that beauty comes in all sizes!  

Amanda  |  Lead Licensed Massage Therapist

Amanda received her massage therapy training at the Salter School in Tewksbury and her degree at Middlesex Community College. 

She specializes in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage and has a firm, educated touch.  She can also perform sports and prenatal massage, and with all her massage modalities, likes to incorporate Reiki energy work into the healing process. 

Her philosophy of healing is that throughout life we are all placed in situations that we need to heal from, whether it be on an emotional, mental, spiritual or physical level.  The human body is designed to heal itself over time allowing us all to return to greater wholeness.

Amanda was born and raised in Waltham, MA.  (Go Hawks!)  Her dream vacation would take her to Europe where she would see Greece and Italy, and visit Ireland in the spring.  Before she found massage therapy, she worked in the Nursing field and appreciates her current position where she can help contribute to preventative healing. 

Anne  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Anne came to us highly recommended by the Cortiva Massage Therapy School in Watertown.  She is trained in Swedish, Prenatal and Hot Stone massage and brings consistent positive energy to her work. 

She believes that each person holds the key to his/her own wellbeing, but that some just need help finding the lock.

She has travelled all over the US and Canada and would love to spend a month in Europe.

In her other life, she was a merchandising planner and coordinator for the home audio department of Tweeter, back when there was a Tweeter.  If life could be composed of only massage therapy, muffins, and video games, she would be all set.

She gives excellent Swedish, Prenatal and Deep tissue massage...all with a smile.  Expecting mothers love seeing her for prenatal work to work out their aches and pains.  Her philosophy on healing is that we should all try to heal ourselves and then try to heal others.

She has lived all over Massachusetts, travelled all over America and Europe, and loves to vacation anywhere where it is sunny and warm.  Before she was called to massage therapy, she was a waitress, and sometimes she still is.

Dawn  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Dawn graduated from the Lincoln Technical Institute of Massage Therapy.

She feels that healing body ailments through massage therapy is the best!  Dawn gives an amazing Swedish and a relaxing hot stone massage.  She can also get in there with deep pressure to work knots out gently.  You’ll think you’ve floated to another place!

She has lived in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and has travelled to California, St. Martin, Florida, Arizona, South Carolina and New York.  Her dream vacation would be to Atlantis.  In her previous life she was a caregiver.

Heather  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Heather received her massage training at Cortiva Institute of Boston and her degrees at Boston  College and UMass Amherst.

Heather is a conscientious and skilled therapist specializing in Swedish, Sports/Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Myofacial treatments.  Her philosophy on healing is that people are the primary agents in their own healing.  Massage is an important component for helping people reach their health and wellness goals.

Heather's dream vacation would take her to Greece, or a horseback riding vacation anywhere.  In her other life she teaches adults who are blind or visually impaired to use the computer independently.

Heidi  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Heidi trained in Muscular Therapy at the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute and received her degree in Philosophy from the University of Illinois.

She gives insightful Deep Tissue, Relaxing, and Hot Stone massage treatments and incorporates myfascial release into much of her work.  She is also certified in prenatal massage and educated in the use of reflexology to relieve stress.  To all of her massage she brings an intentional and graceful touch.

Her philosophy on healing is that our minds and bodies are more sensitive than we are aware of and they are dependent upon each other to achieve wellbeing.  Massage helps bring us to a place physically and mentally where we can heal ourselves.

She has lived in North Carolina, Illinois and Massachusetts and has travelled all over the U.S. and Italy.  Her dream vacation would be to anywhere where she can get fresh air and sunshine.  In her other life, she was an artist and philosopher.

Jeena  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Jeena graduated from the Massage School in Acton, MA as well as Kamkhamhaeng University, Thailand.

She specializes in deep (deep!) tissue massage, hot stone massage, and reflexology and believes that the universe benefits when we allow ourselves to heal.

She has lived in Bangkok and Massachusetts, and has travelled all over Thailand (Loves Phuket and PP Islands), Oregon, Las Vegas, Texas, DC and Florida.  Her dream vacation would take her to Greece, Spain, and Egypt.  She also wants to take a train ride across Europe.  In her past life she was a poker player, a server and manager.

Johanna  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Johanna studied massage at Cortiva/MTI.

She is extensively trained and passionate about prenatal massage, and hopes to one day work with mothers through the entire birth process.  She incorporates myofacial work into her Deep Tissue treatments and brings intention and energy to every stroke.

Johanna’s philosophy of healing is for folks to seek balance in all aspects of their lives.  She wants to help every client do that.

She has lived in MA, MI, NH, ME, India, Spain, and Ireland.  Her travels have taken her to Southern Europe, India, Montreal, Costa Rica, and across the U.S., twice.  Her dream vacation would take her to Thailand.

Before massage therapy she was an organizer on a political campaign. She was also an office manager of a free parenting publication, and small community law firm, and coordinator of volunteers for a non-profit.

Judie  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Judie trained at the Cortiva Massage Therapy School in Watertown. 

She came to believe in massage therapy when she experienced its dramatic healing benefits as a client.  

She has lived mostly in the North East and has travelled as far as Europe.  Her favorite modality is a relaxing Swedish massage.

Kevin  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Kevin graduated Bennington College and received his training in massage therapy at Cortiva Institute in Watertown MA. He has also lived in New Jersey, Vermont, Maine, D.C., Oregon, and found his home in Boston.

Kevin specializes in Myofascial Release, and is very skilled in Deep tissue and Swedish Massage

In his life before massage, and even now, Kevin is a performer and occasionally teaches. His dream vacation would be touring Ireland and collecting stories!

 

 

Loretta-Marie  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Loretta-Marie received her massage training at the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute in Watertown where she received her training in Massage Therapy.  She also studied Animal Science and Dairy Science at SUNY Cobleskill as well as Equissage and Tellington Touch at the Center for Natural Wellness in Albany New York.

She gives excellent Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Prenatal Massage.

She believes "To wish to be well is part of becoming well"- Seneca. She helps that wish of wellness to be felt through massage and not be just a wish. Her favorite modality is Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Myofascial, and Hot Stone.

She has lived in Massachussets, Vermont, New York, Japan, Switzerland and has traveled a lot. She would love to go RVing across New Zealand with friends, camping and taking in the local fare.  Before she found massage therapy she worked as a farmer, social worker and a home health aide.  

Meghan  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Meghan was recommended by the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute in Watertown where she received her training in Massage Therapy.  She received her degree at Clark University.

She believes that you must take care of yourself before you can care for others.  Her favorite modality is a relaxing Swedish massage.  She smiles a lot. 

She has lived all over Massachussets and would love to travel to Europe, especially Italy or the U.K.  Before she found massage therapy she worked in Special Education. 

Orion  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Orion received his massage training at the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute in Watertown where he received his training in Massage Therapy. 

He gives excellent Swedish, Deep Tissue combination massage

Orion believes that the body is able to heal itself as long as we allow it. This includes making conscious healthy choices, and help from knowledgeable therapists to help ones body achieve greater balance and health.

Orion has lived in Massachusetts, Oregon, California and Washington, and dreams of going somewhere where there is lots of hiking and waterfalls. In his other life, Orion has worked as a Social Worker, a deliver driver, and the coolest job ever.... a Video Game Tester!

 

Raffi  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Raffi excelled in his studies at the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute in Watertown.

He specializes in Deep Tissue Massage with Neuromuscular Release and Myofacial work but can also give a great, intentional, relaxing massage. 

His philosophy on healing is that a person experiences injury on three levels: body mind and spirit.  Massage treats all three levels.

He grew up in Watertown and has travelled all over the US, as well as Amsterdam and Taipei.  On his dream vacation he would commune with the Redwood Forest.  In a past life he says he was a blade of grass amongst a beautiful field.

Sherry  |  Licensed Massage Therapist

Pressure Rating: 4        Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays: 3-8

Sherry received her training in massage therapy at the Bancroft School of Massage.  She has also studied early childhood development and psychology at Quinsigamond College

She brings years of experience to her Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Prenatal massage treatments.  Her favorite modality is medium to deep neuromuscular (cross fiber) massage and she has been educated in Reiki II and Repetitive Use Injury Therapy.

Her philosophy of healing is to love life, give and forgive when necessary, and to have compassion.

Sherry's dream vacation would find her spending two weeks in a healing retreat or a spa.  In her other life she struggled to find satisfaction in serving people in more nurturing ways, but none were as satisfying as being able to give massage as a profession.
