Meet Our Mechanicsburg Massage Therapists
At Elements Therapeutic Massage Mechanicsburg, our highly trained and qualified massage therapists will work with you to meet your individual needs.
Understanding Our Level System | Level 1-4
As Elements was founded by a massage therapist, it was created to honor and connect great clients with great therapists! We provide a serene and gender friendly environment that is inviting to all ages (seven days a week).
Our therapists are categorized in 4 levels and this is consistent nationwide. Through these levels our clients will be better able to describe the type and pressure of massage they are seeking.
Level 1: gives a light pressure relaxing massage/Swedish massage
Level 2: gives a medium pressure massage with no specific trigger point work
2+ : can go deep with some trigger point work
Level 3: gives a medium to deep pressure massage with trigger point work
3+ : can go super deep with trigger point work
Level 4: super deep massage with trigger point
Leah Umberger | Licensed Massage Therapist
Level 2+
Leah is a licensed massage therapist who graduated from the professional massage therapy program at Baltimore School of Massage; she also attended the master body workers program at Utah College of Massage.
Leah has lived in Pine Grove, Pa, Harrisburg, PA and Salt Lake City, Ut; she has traveled across the United States and hopes to one day visit the coral reefs of Australia.
Her favorite massage modalities include Swedish massage; Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Hot Stone. Leah’s philosophy of healing is to blend these modalities to keep the body in balance.
Megan Priest | Licensed Massage Therapist
Level 2+
Megan is a graduate of Gettysburg High School and has continued her education through Gettysburg College and the Pennsylvania Myotherapy Institute in Abbottstown, PA. She received her National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and her Pennsylvania state license shortly after graduating from PMI. Prior to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, Megan worked as a Field Researcher at Penn State University Entomology Department, and as a Massage Therapist in a Chiropractic setting.
Megan has traveled to many states including Florida, Missouri, Illinois, and Michigan. She hopes to one day travel to Australia, Japan, and throughout Europe.
Megan's favorite massage modalities are swedish massage, deep tissue and hot stone massage. Her vision as a Massage Therapist is to help clients decrease the effects of tension, stress and pain, and increase health and well-being through massage therapy. She wants to create a healing process and make positive changes so that clients continue to receive the benefits of a massage.
Ashley Mittereder | Massage Therapist
Level 2+
Ashley grew up in Spring Grove, PA. After attending Spring Grove Senior High, Ashley worked a few jobs before she found he passion in massage therapy. She attended CLN (Now known as YTI) for their massage program, and has since then diligently worked to improve her skills as a massage therapist.
Her favorite massage modalities are Swedish, deep tissue and incorporating stretching into her massages. She believes that massage not only heals common aches and pains, but also relaxes the mind.
Ashley has traveled along the East Coast beaches and also spent some time in Florida. She hopes to one day travel to Paris, France, the city of love!
Lori Zipay | Licensed Massage Therapist
Level 2+
Lori is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated YTI Career Institute in November of 2010. Before that Lori spent 14 years in telecommunications services. She went into massage to be able to help people relax and feel a little more human.
Lori has traveled to Canada, Bahamas, and Texas. Her dream is to travel for a few weeks up and down the west coast. Lori has lived in Western and Central PA.
Her favorite modalities are Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, and incorporating stretching into her massages. Her philosophy on healing is to listen to what your body is telling you.
Sheri Napoli | Licensed Massage Therapist
level 2+
Sheri is a recent graduate of YTI Career Institute, and is a state Licensed Massage Therapist. Her favorite modalities include, deep tissue, swedish, and prenatal massage. Before she found massage she was a certified nursing assistant. She found massage therapy by her desire to continue to care for people on another level.
Being a military dependant, Sheri has had the opportunity to travel to places like, Germany, Italy, Paris, Austria, and Poland. Her dream vacation is to one day visit Hawaii.
Sheri believes that everyone needs human touch, without it we couldn't survive. Through caring hands there is healing power between the mind and the body.
Emily Roberts | Licensed Massage Therapist
Level 2
Emily is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College's Massage Therapy Certification Program. Before continuing her education, Emily attended Newport High School. She has lived in Newport and Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.
Emily has traveled throughout the United States visiting Ocean City, Maryland, Florida, and Georgia. Emily has traveled out west to visit family in Colorado, as well. Her dream vacation would be to travel overseas to Ireland and Scotland to personally experience the beautiful architecture.
Emily's favorite modality is Swedish massage. Her philosophy on healing is, healing begins in the mind and the heart. If you can relax the mind, and believe in the power of healing, then you have the capability of healing.
Devon Smith | Licensed Massage Therapist
Level 3
Devon is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated from the Alternative Conjunction Clinic and School of Massage Therapy in 2000. Shortly thereafter she quickly got to work building her resume, with awards for Harrisburg Magazine Readers Choice for Best Massage Therapist in 2004 and 2005.
Devon has traveled to Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and St. Croix. She aspires to one day travel through Italy.
Devon enjoys Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and injury treatment massages. She feels massage keeps the body in balance and speeds recovery of injured muscles.
Before becoming an LMT, Devon worked in retail management, and has not looked back ever since!
Zach Schlotthauer | Licensed Massage Therapist
Level 3+
Zach is a Licensed Massage Therapist, as well as a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. He graduated from the Pensacola School of Massage in June 2008.
Zach has traveled along the East Coast of the United States, and has ventured out to Texas, Colorado, and Arizona. Someday, Zach hopes to travel to Ireland to tour the architecture of the castles and churches.
Zach's favorite massage modalities are Sports Massage, Neuromuscular, and Trigger Point. He is very interested in learning more about Craniosacral and Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Zach chose a career in Massage Therapy because he loves to help people and enjoys seeing the outcome of his hard work after the massage is complete. He is comfortable working with all clients, with a long term goal to work solely with geriatrics in a local Hospice or nursing home. He feels geriatric clients will not only feel great from the benefits of massage but also need the nurturing touch provided by a Massage Therapist.
